The Paumanauke Native American Indian Scholarship is funded through the efforts of the Paumanauke Pow-Wow and Native American Living Arts Festival Inc. a non profit organization.

Our intention is to encourage and assist Native American Indians to complete their education. Tribally enrolled Native American Indians attending colleges, universities and accredited post-secondary educational institutions on a full time basis, are eligible for consideration. Each year Scholarship Awards
of $ 500.00 (Five Hundred Dollars) are awarded to qualified applicants, with no more than six awards being given out in any one year period.

The Scholarship program was the dream of Nat Sales. Mr. Sales explained that " The children are our future and it is our obligation to these native young people to encourage them through scholarship programs to help preserve the cultural past in creating a bright new future". In his honor, each year one deserving applicant will receive $ 750.00 (Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars) Known as the Nat Sales Memorial Award.

We recommend that applications be submitted early and with as much supporting information and documentation as possible, to assist the selection committee in making their decision. Please Do Not send originals (Copies Only) as this information will not be returned unless prior arrangements have been made.
